About NOVA VRX
1. What is NOVA VRX?
NOVA VRX is Finland’s first Walking VR Theater, a multiplayer, interactive movie experience in virtual reality. Instead of watching a film, you step inside the story and become part of it.
2. What does “Walking VR Theater” mean?
It means you can walk freely inside a large location-based arena, moving naturally and interacting with others in a shared virtual world.
3. Where is NOVA VRX located
We are currently at REDI Shopping Center, 2nd floor, next to the Kalasatama library and Stadium, in Helsinki. This pop-up location is open until September 12, 2025.
Booking & Tickets
4. How do I book a VR experience?
Book easily through our online booking page. Choose your experience, number of players, time, and ticket type.
5. Can I just walk in without a booking?
Yes, walk-ins are welcome, but booking ahead is recommended to secure your spot.
6. How much are the tickets?
Tickets start from €20 per person (VAT included).
7. Do you offer group discounts?
Yes, we provide discounts for groups of all sizes. Please contact us for tailored offers.
8. Do you accept Epassi or Smartum as payment?
Yes, we accept both Epassi and Smartum.
9. Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! NOVA VRX gift cards are available online and make the perfect experience gift.
Experiences & Gameplay
10. How long does each VR session last?
Each experience runs 25–30 minutes. With setup and instructions, your visit usually takes around 35 minutes.
11. How many people can play together?
Up to 4 people can join the same adventure at once. Experiences rotate: when Group 1 moves to the next scene (around 6 minutes), a new group can start and so on for group 3 onwards.
12. What experiences do you currently offer?
We currently feature six story-driven VR adventures, ranging from fantasy to cultural themes. More experiences are coming soon.
13. Are the experiences available in multiple languages?
Right now, they are in English. Since most experiences are visual and interaction-based, simple English is enough. Finnish and other languages are in development.
Families & Children
14. Is NOVA VRX suitable for children? What is the age limit?
Yes, most experiences are suitable for children 5+ years old. Adults are recommended to accompany young children.
15. Can children play alone without adults?
Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Older kids can join independently with parental consent.
Safety & Comfort
16. Is VR safe? What if I feel motion sickness?
Our technology is designed for comfort thanks to the new technology. Because you walk naturally while inside the virtual world, motion sickness is rare.
17. Do I need gaming or VR experience before coming?
No experience is required. Our staff gives clear instructions and guides you before the process.
18. Can I wear my glasses during the experience?
Yes, most glasses fit inside our upgraded VR headsets. If you have very large frames, we recommend bringing a smaller pair.
19. What should I wear when visiting?
No shoes are allowed inside the arena. You can wear socks or use provided shoe covers.
20. Do you provide storage for personal items?
Yes, we offer small storage areas for bags and jackets. Players shall take their valuables on them.
Accessibility & Venue
21. Is NOVA VRX accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Yes, wheelchair users can enjoy the experience. For safety, we require an accompanying person to join as well. Please contact us in advance for details.
22. Do you allow food and drinks inside the VR area?
Food and drinks are not permitted inside the VR arena. Light snacks and drinks are fine outside the play area—please dispose of trash properly.
Events & Expansion
23. Can we book NOVA VRX for a company team-building or private event?
Yes! We host corporate events, afterwork sessions, and private parties. Packages can be customized for your needs.
24. Can I host a birthday party or special occasion at NOVA VRX?
Absolutely. NOVA VRX is a unique and fun choice for birthdays and special gatherings. We can arrange that based on needs.
25. Do you plan to open more theaters outside Helsinki?
Yes, we plan to expand NOVA VRX across the Nordics cities, tbd.
